halogen scarves hang
from fixtures
adorning windows and tables
“I have only ever worn wool socks”
points to the box of socks
open back shirt reveals mountains
takes a scarf down, white paisley setting red

she smiles gold and black flecks through spectacles

we walk along pearl-sunset, lost in ciders
she does not like it too sweet, “i do”
we part ways

clouds crowd the sun
