I was always making my parents laugh to keep them from MURDERING each other, and, to a lesser extent, me. But I had never done anything on stage until a few years ago. While getting an overpriced liberal arts degree from a private college (read debt up to my eyeballs). I decided to do a standup comedy workshop with Kristina Hall. Once she tossed me up on stage, first, I knew there was no turning back.
Fast forward a few years and I moved across the country to New York City and studied Standup, Improv, Acting and Comedy Writing at the American Comedy Institute with Stephen Rosenfield, Lexi Cullen-Baker, Deb Rabbai, Chris Roberti and Joe Schiappa. It's been a hell of a ride so far, a whole lot of fun. Unexpected bonus, it helped me learn how to deal with my social anxiety, at least, on stage ;-)
I perform standup at Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, Denver Improv and soon at West Side Comedy Club! I accidentally performed on the same show with Jerry Seinfeld! Can you believe it? It MUST be a sign!
Here's a recent performance:
